Welcome to the Brenham Volunteer Fire Department, where we provide opportunities for individuals to participate in active firefighting and other emergency response efforts. We are a community-driven organization that is committed to providing high-quality services to the people we serve.
As a Volunteer Firefighter, you will have the opportunity to engage in active firefighting, staff shifts at our fire station, and become a member of a specialized team such as Rescue, Hazmat, Trench Rescue, and more. You will also be able to help answer phones and document events in emergency situations.
Our program offers several benefits to our volunteers, including Fire Service Training to equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to be effective in your role. We also provide an Accident Package, Workers Compensation, and a Pension Plan to ensure that you are protected while you serve the community.
In addition, we offer SFFMA Firefighter Certification and Membership, which is recognized by firefighting agencies across the state. This certification is an excellent addition to your resume and can help you advance your career in firefighting.
